nothing is sweeter than making new friends
"World Down Syndrome Day is a day set aside to raise awareness and educate the general public about Down Syndrome. The point is to get people talking about Down Syndrome.
There are things you can do to learn about Down Syndrome and raise awareness too. Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 you can show your support by wearing brightly colored socks, mismatched socks, or even extra socks to signify the extra chromosome that people with Down Syndrome usually carry. And you can paint your nails blue and yellow in support of raising awareness.
One way to learn about Down Syndrome is to watch and share the video Just Like You - Down Syndrome It was created by Just Like You Films. It shows how people with Down Syndrome have the same hopes, dreams and experiences as you and me. It's about accepting everyone's differences and learning from them. Having Down Syndrome is just a part of who someone is - it does not define them."
